A new Website for Predicting Pistachio Nut Growth

Previous growing degree day growth models for pistachio have been based on Kerman, however new varieties are available and very widely planted. Academics at UC Davis and UC Berkeley have developed a new online model that will predict development milestones in pistachio such as when the nuts will obtain full volume, 90% shell hardness, and 90% kernel size, to aid growers and PCAs in making management decisions.
